The AFI Backlot is a platform exclusive to the AFI community — a network designed to support alumni networking and professional development. Through the AFI Backlot, alumni have access to: Connections: Get to know other alumni or become reacquainted with old friends and kendra lust. Search for your peers by location, company, experience, etc. Join a group based on your class year or discipline, or create your own group within the AFI community.
Resources: Access aggregated resources and relevant filmmaking articles. Share useful tools with fellow alumni. Events: Be up-to-date on everything happening at AFI, and add your own events, film screenings and crowdfunding campaigns. Jobs: Access thousands of job listings, including those that arrive straight to the AFI offices and available exclusively on the Backlot. Need to hire AFI interns or alumni for a project? Upload jobs directly to the database.
Mentorships: Become a mentor to xvideo a current Fellow and help guide someone’s unique experience at AFI. Or further utilize the network to find a mentor for yourself, no matter where you are on your career path.

Alumni receive advance notice for tickets to screenings and galas for AFI FEST presented by Audi, as well as discounts on festival passes and packages. AFI Conservatory Fellows look for internships during fall, spring and summer terms. As alumni, you know first-hand the drive and work ethic of AFI Fellows. PROGRAM INITIATIVES: VOLUNTEER
Alumni volunteers serve as leaders in effecting the continued growth and development of AFI programs and initiatives. Volunteer opportunities include participation in applicant outreach and recruitment, script reading and evaluation, workshops, regional networks, committees and special campaigns.
SUPPORT THE ALUMNI FUND: GIVE BACK
A nonprofit organization, AFI relies on financial contributions from its alumni to support the ongoing work of the Conservatory. Gifts to the Alumni Fund provide financial aid, support faculty positions, renovate facilities and upgrade equipment. All gifts count toward participation, an important expression of alumni commitment to today’s Fellows.
